Today the wind is nonexistent. This makes for bad kite boarding but really good snorkeling. We had a 5 hour guided tour of amazing sea life and the coral reef. Fish, rays, and nurse sharks close enough to touch abounded. The reef itself was like an entirley new world.

We thought this was our last day on the island and caught the last water taxi of the day back to Belize city. In actuality, we had one more day there. Oops. We did not realize this until arriving at the monkey sanctuary lodge and finding the caretaker confused about our arrival. Luckily she had vacancy. We are down some dollars but the food here — homemade — is second only to the lodge in Peru.
